Same problem: LR version 6.3 Can't get precise system info as doing Help>System Info... crashes LR each time!!! What's that about? OS - Windows 10 Home v10.0.14393 x64
3 weeks since Adobe logged a bug for this, over a month since the problem started. Surely it's not that hard to fix? It would at least be helpful if Adobe kept us up to date as to what's happening.

I've just joined the photoshop family forum as I'm having problems with the map which is driving me insane. In the past few weeks to a month or so, it has started showing the "Map is offline" message when I zoom in or out and slowing my workflow down dramatically. I had been going back over old photos to insert GPS co-ordinates over the last year but this is grinding to a halt as the system has suddenly started to slow down. Is anyone at Adobe REALLY looking at this issue? Anyway, it is almost reassuring that it is not just me who's having this problem.
I have the problem, too. It used to happen before this past month, just very infrequently (usually after a few hours worth of work, and a restart would take care of the issue for a long while). Now the issue begins immediately. That's very frustrating on a feature that is an absolute necessity for my work. And because I have several hundreds of pictures to manually geotag ... I'm very disappointed in Adobe that this problem has been known for three weeks already, with nary an update - much less an actual fix.
I have the same problem. Extremly annoying! I hate it when I have to go into the map module. It is almost useless as it is now. It has been like that for several months as I can remember. I have the latest version on OSX. Cant belive Adobe hasnt fixed this yet. Is nobody testing Lightroom?
