P: Navigator preview pane shows wrong photo

Kris, +1. Two days ago I updated my Lightroom CC to the current version, the 2015.8 release. The only thing which I can add is that during an editing session, we all know that it is sometimes quite easy to click past the point where Lightroom responds, and one has to wait for the program processes to catch up. So I hung Lightroom and had to "Force-Quit". After that incident, I now have the display problem in the Develop module. Coincidence? No idea.

The issue is still present in LR CC 2017 - the Navigator pane does change when you put the mouse over an image in the filmstrip. However, the image in the Develop pane does not change - it is stuck on a random image. The only way I've found to solve the issue is to shut LR down - a real pain. This has only occurred in the last two weeks.

I am also seeing this bug, don't Adobe know how to fix it?

Okay so, again, this bug is ~4 years old, STILL not being fixed in the latest CC.

This bug doesn't happen every time but when it does, looks like this:


What this example shows is - the image selected in the Grid and shown in the editor is not the same as in Navigator's preview window! This also means that trying preset previews is not possible. Selecting any other image in the Grid does not fix the Navigator, nor does preset selecting. Stuck thumbnail image remains.

The solution to reset the Navigator is to turn on the Filmstrip and then hover/select the thumbnails. It does the trick, but is awkward and certainly not useful for all of us that use the Grid.

Can you please fix it this year - 2016?
