P: Panels and filmstrip black when switching to Develop

Not sure if this is the right place for a bug report, if not could anyone direct me to the right place please.

Clicking develop module at top right from the Library module opens the photo with film strip and both side bars black empty spaces. Initial few times I had to quit and restart Lightroom but then discovered switching to grid view again and develop keyboard short cut, everything comes back.

This works, but it's irritating to do this while trying to cull and perform quick edits. Am I going to have to jump ship to ON1?????

Ever since my last update to 2015.10, I've been plagued by the panel blackout issue....

any solutions/fixes? Given the subscription rates I'm charged, would be nice to see this resolved.....

Random Update: my machine & lightroom seem to be running fine this week and the black panel problem has yet to reoccur during frequent daily use. Which is weird since I haven't changed a thing update/operating system wise.

Notes: Lr CC 2015.10, Late 2012 2.9Ghz i5 27" iMac with 24GB DDR3 ram

No, my computer is 2008, Sierra is not an option. My schools computers are new, no problem there except the time involved to update,. (Which is an issue this time of year) But for my own purposes in a few days if nothing else works, I will roll back lightrom. Too bad! the beta had been working for me.

I suspect your other system has Sierra on it. The workaround put in place works more better with Sierra. One of the recommendations for this issue is to upgrade your system to Sierra. Is that an option for you?

Update...as mentioned above, the problem seemed to be fixed in the beta and .10 version,  BUT in using my travel drive for teaching it re-occurred on new iMac with El Capitan (see details in previous comment), upon using that same hard drive on my own computer the problem re-appeared. And now when I use my actual catalog (instead os teaching catalog) the problem has re-appeared. And is as frequent as before. My computer is one model too old to upgrade to Sierra so unless a solution comes soon I will have to roll back to older Lightroom. I am hoping for a solution!

Lightroom CC 2015.10 is working okay now with macOS 10.12.4  Sierra. The black panel problem has gone.

Haven't tried rolling back yet.  Will do so soon---Obviously the problem still exists with El Capitan.
