P: Panels and filmstrip black when switching to Develop

Not sure if this is the right place for a bug report, if not could anyone direct me to the right place please.

Clicking develop module at top right from the Library module opens the photo with film strip and both side bars black empty spaces. Initial few times I had to quit and restart Lightroom but then discovered switching to grid view again and develop keyboard short cut, everything comes back.

I am on MacOs Sierra 10.12.4 and updated most recent version of Lightroom 2015.10 and I have not had any issues with black outs since.

Have you tried rolling back to a prior edition of Lightroom?  I had success reverting to LR CC 2015.7.  Instructions to do so are posted above somewhere.

I can't update to Sierra--my IMac is too old.  At this point, Lightroom is useless to me, what do you suggest I do.

Additional work is being done on this issue but there is no ETA available.

Hi Rikk,
An upgrade to Sierra is possible but not ideal, as I would prefer to keep all of my machines in Capitan, regardless of whether or not each machine runs lightroom.

Is Adobe working on a solution for Capitan users and if so, is there an expected solution date?

Andy,

We are still seeing the issue on El Capitan but not getting reports on Sierra.  One of the recommendations for this issue is to upgrade your system to Sierra. Is that an option for you?

I can report that the same issue started occurring immediately after I updated to 2015.10CC.

Running 10.11.6 Capitan on late 2012 27" iMac with 2.9GHz Core i5, 24GB 1600MHz DDR3 Ram

I did not experience this problem until my most recent update to 2015.10

additional new info and problem...as noted above everything was working fine. But then today I taught a class and ran into the panels problem. I had the school update to .10, I was teaching the slideshow module and the audio issue was fixed. Yay! But close to the end of my demo the panels went black ! I had just added a music file to the slideshow. I was on the following system...OS X El Capitan, iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2015), 2.8 GHz, intel Core i5, Memory 16GB, Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB

The catalog was on external hard drive, which I used last night teaching on an older laptop, and prepared todays demo on my own computer listed above. I returned to my own computer and tested all the same functions on my working catalog, then closed it and opened the teaching catalog. The panels eventually went black again...the first time on my computer since 2015.10. It was as if the catalog carried the problem back to my computer. I am so disappointed! Tomorrow at school I will try resetting the preferences. I'll keep you posted. If you have other recommendations please let me know.
