P: Print Module, Page Set Up Crashes Lightroom Classic V 12.0.1

Good day. I ran across this issue yesterday, 6 Nov, and I'm not sure who (Adobe, Apple, Epson) is responsible for t/s and fix- it is frustrating. Simple to explain - fixing is another issure entirely.

I'm using a 16" 2019, Intel MacBook Pro w/32Gb Ram. I upgraded to MacOS Ventura and Lightroom Classic v12.0.1.  Going into Print Module and trying to select Page Set Up crashes Lightroom. I tried restarting the computer, resetting LR Preferences and turning off GPU Acceleration to no avail.

Do the LR Print Module, Page Set Up and Printer Settings, pull their input from the printer manufacturer drivers? Again, I'm not sure who is responsible or even how to go about troubleshooting/fixing. Any help/advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have two projects for customers in work - I should have known better than to upgrade this soon.

Since you asked for a video of the Page Set Up issue:

I thought I'd share the printing issue problem by showing a card I printed a while back and the card I tried to print that failed. Both used the same template. I think you can see the issue? (The older card, on the right, had been folded so you see a bit of a difference because of that, but I'm using the same card stock and the same printer.)

I decided to try my laptop first, since I hadn't used it for printing and hadn't set things up. I set it up exactly as I set up my desktop for printing cards ... same margins, same everything.

Nope. Still have the same issue with printing ... everything is off center. The only difference is it no longer crashes when I'm in Page Setup.

Colors are messed up as well.

I just have a sneaking suspicion that the fact that LR, Epson, and Apple all updated things near abou the same time messed things up, but I'm really rather clueless about these things so I might be making a silly guess.

In any case, it's all useless. Completely so. At least Adobe is aware of the situation, right? I guess I should go visit them ... they are about a 10 minute drive away! Heh.

The safest approach is not to keep anything (preferences). Jot down the settings or make a screen capture if you want to reapply quickly to the previous version with 'virgin' preferences.

I will give that a go, thanks. When I do that what do you recommend regarding the question they ask ... "keep “notifications, alerts, interface settings, plugins, and other preferences” …? Or do I remove those.

Okay ... sorry for being my over-dramatic self. I'm just so frustrated! I will try reverting.

Is anyone at Adobe able to help? Non-Adobe users have told me over and over that Adobe doesn't care and I've always told them that's not true.

This is a user to user support forum. You can contact Adobe here:

https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html

You can also try rolling back to an older version: To go back (revert) to previous versions, use the Adobe Creative Cloud application, next to the product you want to revert, click on... (three little dots) and pick "other versions."

Patty Oboe:

Adobe really tried to help me.  I had sessions with them x3 for a total of perhaps 6 hours with several technicians at different levels of expertise.  All to no avail.  I was simply told to wait for an Adobe update...who knows how long that will take!.  I would recommend you call Adobe customer support and let them take command of your computer to see if they can find a fix for you.  I "solved" my problem of crashing with page setup button by installing an old catalog v11 that I had on a backup drive.

The problem continues ... I've tried so much, and have wasted more paper than I care to admit. This is ridiculous. I have printed my cards for YEARS with no issues. My presets worked perfectly. Now I'm absolutely stuck and I have clients who are waiting for their orders.

1) The formatting I have had for years that has worked perfectly doesn't work now.
2) If I go to Page Setup: Paper Size and try to change anything the entire program crashes.

Is anyone at Adobe able to help? Non-Adobe users have told me over and over that Adobe doesn't care and I've always told them that's not true. Now I am wondering if they were right. C'mon ... prove them wrong! Please!
