P: Right side panel resize screws up slider tracking

Lightroom: When I resize my right panel, the controls get screwed up in Develop. Where I click no longer lines up with what moves in the sliders. It has become out of alignment.

LR 6.9 (not cc). Windows 8.1.

My post above (about 3 above this one) was from v6.3 a year ago. Still no fix.

I've tried updating the graphics driver from various sources too, i.e PC manufacturer, Intel, and driver update program. Still the same.

As soon as i turn off GPU acceleration the problem goes away. So i leave it off.

What OS/version are you one? What version of Lightroom are you using?

Not for me. The only way i can stop it is to turn off GPU acceleration.

Same problem here with the jumping sliders (ie i accurately click on a slider to select it but it jumps).

Lightroom 6.3 standalone version (not CC)

Update: Uninstalling and reinstalling clean seems to have done it. Sliders are occasionally a bit funky, but overall, I'm back in business.

Okay, preferences have been reset. Library module seems to be better. Before, even moving from one image to the next was dicey, and the highlight on the filmstrip didn't always agree with the image in the main window. Now that's fixed.

The sliders, however, now don't slide at all. I can click along the spectrum to make a change, and the change actually occurs, but the slider stays put and the value stays at zero ... until ... maybe 30 seconds later the slider and value jump to the correct (I think) position and value.

I talked with a fellow photographer, who had similar problems. He completely uninstalled LR and reinstalled from the CC menu. Problem solved. Unless you recommend not to, this will be my next approach.

Lawrence,

Have you tried resetting preferences? Close Lightroom, hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] and relaunch Lightroom. Overwrite/Discard preferences when prompted.

Does this change your slider/window response?
