P: still not exporting to Apple Mail

I saw in the recent updates that this was fixed, but it isn't for me. I go to "Email photo," the "Apple Mail 1Photo" dialog opens. I used to be able to just click SEND and it would create an e-mail in Apple Mail. Now the "Preparing file for E-mail" counter counts down, but nothing makes it to e-mail. With or without an e-mail address filled in.

Any ideas?

Mac 10.15.7 Email 13.4.

Thanks!

Well, that's your issue.  I would try and uninstall LrC and reinstall without removing your Lr preferences and see it ask you.  There is no ADD item for Automation so I guess I would try the install uninstall first.

Thanks all, but Lightroom has full disk access in the Privacy panel. Resetting the preference file didn't help, but did reset my preferences! I didn't bother backing up the old ones either.

And Robert, I don't see LR or Bridge in the Automation Privacy setting, nor do I see a way to get it in there (other than resetting it in Terminal) and I don't remember ever seeing a window asking for permission fro LR to Automate.

Thanks for the help so far. Any other ideas?

Do you have your permissions set to allow LightroomC to automate Apple Mail

It is possible you may need to reset your preference file

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

Thanks for your reply Robert. Right-Clicking an image inside LR, or Exporting for E-mail, doesn't work for me. I get to the point where it apparently creates the file, and doesn't hand it off to Mac's Email client.

It's as if it's looking for an older version of Mail, and can't find it, so it stops. I can't find a way to tell LR to find an e-mail client.

The best solution would have Adobe recognize problem and fix it.

But thanks anyway!

This was a solution for this issue for me 9 months ago.  See my posts here

BTW, I have not had the issue for several months
