P: Subject Mask from previous versions are requesting an update

After updating Lightroom Classic to v14 and converted my database, all the edited photos that had a "Subject Mask" applied now have an empty mask with a warning and exclamation mark (!).

If I let Lightroom correct the mask pushing the exclamation mark on a single photo, it seems the correct subject is selected, keeping the edits. If I do the same with multiple photos together it appears teh usual form that tells that the AI masks are recalculated, but at the end all the masks are still empty with warnings.

I updated to 14 but have not opened since doing it so I assume my catalog has not updated, am  better off reverting to 13.5.1 or updating to 14.0.1?

@C.Cella  As credits are currently metered-only and not enforced, it should not be an issue.

Is anyone getting back the Firefly Credits wasted due to the bug?

Do we need to restore the 13.x catalog and re-upgrade, or just install the update and run with it?

Greetings all,

A new update for Adobe Photography Products has been released.  The 14.0.1 update contains an update for this issue.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

I remove the imperfections from the first photo, then synchronize the other images because the dust spots are always in the same place. After working on the other images, if I go back to the first one, I lose the applied effect and have to click the "update all" button to restore it.

Hi, this shouldn't be happening. I tried to synchronize the remove edits on other images but couldn't find any issues. Could you please share a screen recording of your workflow?

This workaround is confusing.  "If you've already upgraded your catalog, you may need to go to the "Old Lightroom Catalog" folder, retrieve your previous catalog , and perform the update using the above instructions."  The workaround instructions start with "Upgrade catalog".

What???

I read this as if you've already upgraded your catalog, go back and upgrade your catalog again.  How does this fix the problem?

I'm not moving to 14 until this gets addressed more clearly because I depend heaving on AI removal.

"I have delete the previsualization and now it works"

Can you explain that? What menu, what setting, what button?
