P: "Synchronize Settings" very slow, using 10% CPU

I have a 300-image (NEF) folder where I highlighted all images, turned on Auto Sync, then adjusted the sharpness, noise and applied lens corrections. LR Classic has taken about 15 minutes to process 50% of them. When inspecting the CPU, it's only being 10% utilized (out of 1600%)... basically the system is idle. -- 8700K@5GHz with 64GB 3GHz DDR4 ram.

I never use Auto Sync.. I have legitimately stopped using lightroom because of this problem.

Two workarounds for this bug:

- Use Sync rather than Auto Sync.

- Use Copy/Paste Develop Settings rather than Auto Sync.

I'm having issues for the first time with this starting about a week ago. It's taking wayyyy too long and slowing down my editing dramatically. I hope this gets fixed soon! Because I can't afford this.

Hi Jeremiah and Sean,

Can you elaborate on what settings are you pasting which is showing slowness.
As previously mentioned in this thread, we are aware of slowness during AutoSync when Lens Correction is enabled. That issue we are able to reproduce and are investigating it. But your issue might be different as the slowdown is in Paste settings,

Thanks,
Chinoy

Right? 8.4 is 50% the speed of precious version. Need to find out what’s up. New gpu code?.

Paste settings are taking a sheet ton of time on 8.4 looking for other software application solutions atm.

This stupid software becomes more unusable every update. I'm on a brand new desktop system and lightroom runs the same speed as it does on my tablet which was not designed for editing. How can syncing settings take MINUTES. Ridiculous.

I agree as well. It's very slow.

Is this getting looked at? The latest update did not address this issue at all. Every single timelapse photographer I know is complaining about this.
