P: Syncing photos taken with the Android phone LR app to LR Classic desktop

I am using the LR Mobile app on my Android phone. Until recently everything was working perfectly. Since the last update to the Android app on July 10 photos I have taken with my LR app camera continue to sync to my Adobe Cloud account but they do not get synced to my desktop LR Classic as they did previously. Photos I take with the native Android Camera app do sync to both Adobe Cloud and to my desktop LR Classic.

Is anyone else having this problem and can anyone help me with a solution?

Thanks in anticipation.

Nothing you need to do further, Phil. This is the official Adobe problem reporting site, and is monitored by Adobe staff. Hopefully, the details of this problem will have already been passed on to the appropriate team (which will be a challenge....is this an Android app problem, a cloud syncing problem, or a Classic syncing problem?), and with luck a fix will be forthcoming in due course.

I started this thread a few days ago. Quite a few responders have indicated that they are experiencing the same problem.

As a newbie on this forum I am not sure what to do next. What is the best method of alerting Adobe to the problem, bearing in mind that this is a service we all pay for? It is reasonable to expect that Adobe will acknowledge the problem quickly, and fix it within a short/reasonable period of time.

I am happy to take whatever action is necessary so that Adobe are formally and properly alerted to the problem.

Is there any indication that Adobe are working on this? I use the system because the sync was always great. This workaround is too difficult.

I'm having the same problem too.

Merci pour le "workaround"... Je viens de tester une image prise depuis mon iPad, depuis LR.... elle se synchronise correctement vers LrC !
Donc Adobe.... allez, cherchez maintenant.

Yes, I just tested that and see the same as you, i.e. captures using the LR camera on Android get stuck downloading into Classic, though they do sync normally to the cloud and the rest of the ecosystem. The only way I could "fix" the issue was to delete the image from Lightroom, which obviously isn't ideal. Captures using the native camera on the Android device sync normally.

A "workaround" to preserve the captures and to resolve the syncing issue with Classic would be to use the Lightroom desktop app to export the image as "Original + Settings". When the export is completed, delete the image from the Lightroom desktop app then wait for Classic to remove the pending download from the sync activity section (Preferences>Lightroom Sync tab). Once that has disappeared, add the exported image back into the Lightroom desktop app, from where it should sync normally down into Classic (or import it directly into Classic if you no longer want it stored in the cloud as an original file).

Exactement le même problème chez moi :
Androïd 8.0 - LR  v5.31
macOS 10.15.6 - LrC v9.3  - LR 3.3
