P: Unable to advance to the next photo

Why no one writes about the fact that in develop mode, after any manipulation with a photo, it is impossible to go to the next photo in the feed? You go, but the photo remains the same as it was, you have to go back and only then go to the next photo. This is a global problem!!  Anyway, I did some research and I realized why many people are silent about it, because this problem occurs only when using the +\- buttons on any keyboard, even on macbook !!!!. If you use only mouse or touchpad, there is no problem with photo transition. That's why many photographers don't pay attention to it, because they don't use the keyboard. Therefore, ADOBE does not react in any way.

For those of you unable to downgrade to LR12, Ive found that holding the command key as you hit the arrow button to toggle between images, helps solve the issue for me. It's still much slower for me and it's a band-aid fix but maybe itll help some of you.

Further to my last, I clearly spoke too soon, as it reappeared shortly after. However, trashing the cache then restarting seemed to give me respite, for a short while anyway. Havign experienced the issue several times since, now clearing the cache and restarting no longer works, and I don't have the patience to keep reinstalling.

Please Adobe can you give us a fix for this? Moving from one image to the next is an absolutely basic function which has worked in Lightroom from day one, until now.

POTENTIAL FIX?

Ok - another of the endless complainers here, but having lost the will with the issue seemingly getting worse, I tried various things, and so far, 100 images in to the edit I was previously working on, I haven't encountered the problem of not being able to move to the next image.

Here is what I did - I cant say what might have helped, but if it happens again I'll try one at a time to see which one worked.

1 - Updating  all versions of Photoshop - perhaps this is the pattern why some users see the issue, and others don't. No harm in trying anyway.

2 - deleting the cache - not through Lightroom but by trashing the contents of the cache folder next in my catalog folder.

3 - uninstalling LRC, restarting, then reinstalling LRC 13.0.1

I hope this helps others. I have a feelign it could be cache related, so if it does stick again, this is what I will be trying first.  However, some form of update or response from Adobe would be great - Like many I can't just roll back to 12.5 as I have edited and culled many shoots since then, so opening the old 12 catalog will lose weeks of work. Seeing as LR was designed to be run with one catalog, a fix should be the answer rather than expecting customers to work differently in the meantime.

The develop module is applying my settings to the wrong imnage, they are altering the shot before the one selected. This is a serious Bug.    13.0.1 imac M1 16gb OS 14.0

yes, I have the same situation. my clients send catalogs for editing already in version 13 and I cannot explain to them that it does not work correctly. because it can work correctly in them. we have to adapt now to this, since no one gives us an answer when it will be fixed and how. update 13.2 may be ready soon but we have to expect that the problem may remain since the 13.0.1 update has already been released and nothing has changed

Worst update ever in LrC history since I'm using it.

As a manager in IT field this is bad practice at its finest 😂

@kbarre Your comment comes across as smug.  With your workflow you may be fortunate enough to be able to revert back to a previous version, but for some of us that leads to more complications.

So what you consider to be "endless complaining" is for many of us (who are trying to wrap up the endless hours of busy season) merely rightfully demanding that Adobe address this bug ASAP.  It's bad enough that the bug made it into a release, now it's compounded by Adobe's slow pace of issuing a fix to what appears to be affecting many users.   As I recall, being able to use the left and right arrow keys to move through images has been part of Lightroom since the very first version.  It's a very basic function that has now broken in a way that makes it unreliable.  And it's not just keyboard usage that this is affecting.  It appears to also affect the SDK, since it has also broken my usage of a Loupedeck CT to process hundreds of images daily as productively as possible.

I'm running a business and this bug has a direct impact on productivity.
