P: Unable to move crop to image edges after negative (CCW) rotation

Hi,
I’m experiencing a recent issue with the Crop tool in Lightroom Classic.

When I try to crop an image after applying a rotation correction (either automatic or manual), the crop frame won’t let me move it fully to the edges of the image. It’s as if there’s an invisible boundary about one centimeter from the top or side edges, preventing me from placing the crop where I want.

This didn’t happen earlier today and started occurring with the last two photos I’ve edited. I’ve tried:

  • Toggling “Constrain to Image” on and off

  • Using different aspect ratios (including “Original” and “Custom”)

  • Removing the rotation, cropping first, and then reapplying the rotation

  • Restarting Lightroom

In all cases, the issue returns as soon as I apply any rotation, even a minor one. I’m attaching a screenshot that clearly shows how the crop frame cannot be moved freely even though the image has visible content.

Is there a setting or recent behavior that could be causing this?
I’d appreciate any guidance.

No need to start a new thread. Your screen pic shows that you indeed tried to apply super resolution to an image that had Denoise applied (producing a DNG) and then was converted to TIF by PS or another tool. Adobe has acknowledged this bug, introduced in LR 14.3:

Please start a new thread about Super Resolution. It would be very helpful to include the output from the menu command Help > System Info.

I'm assuming song files as well because I use photoshop and Luminar neo as plugins for Lightroom and before these two updates I never had an issue.

@Traffik The Photographer: "I'm also having issues enhancing my photos to super resolution after using photoshop as a plugin to edit"

Are these DNGs produced by Denoise that you then edit in PS?

@Traffik The Photographer: "This bug ... still not fixed in the latest update"

LR 14.3.1 fixed the Crop bug for me and many others. So far, yours is the only report to the contrary. Triple-check that LR 14.3.1 is actually installed by doing the menu command Help > System Info and looking at the first line.

If it is installed, please provide a detailed description of what you're seeing with respect to Crop.
