P: Update to process version 5 causes adjustments badge to disappear

So far I have only found this to affect Clarity and/or Dehaze alone. To reproduce:

Start with an image that has no develop adjustments and is process version 4.

Change Clarity or Dehaze, or both. The adjustment badge [+/-] shows on the film strip thumbnail.

Update the image to process version 5 (Settings->Update to Current Process)

The adjustment badge [+/-] disappears.

In the Library module, if you filter Edits, the adjusted image doesn't show as I would expect if Lr doesn't consider it has any edits.

If you change the process version to 5 in the Calibration panel, the problem doesn't occur.

Rikk, I can confirm that this is fixed in Lr Classic 8.1

Updates to the Lightroom CC Ecosystem and Lightroom Classic CC were released earlier today. Please update your software and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue.

Rikk, this might help. The images I see the problem on are RAW and haven't had any thing at all done to them since being imported. Try this:

Import a new RAW image.

In Develop, change the Process to Version 4 in the Calibration panel.

Change the Clarity in the Basic panel.

Select Settings->Update to Current Process.

For me, this last step makes the adjustment badge disappear.

Ok. I heard back from the team and we have logged a bug against the issue. Thanks for the reports!

I was able to replicate the issue on Win10 LR8 until I performed other catalog operations i.e added any photo within that file folder to a collection, then the issue went away for all the files in that folder.

So it seems RAW files with PV4 and without any presets or initial collection membership exhibit the issue?

That's a tricky one, Rikk.....I don't have any PV1 or PV2 images any more, edited or not. Best I could do was take an unedited PV3 image and set it to PV1 or PV2. In both cases, and on both platforms, immediately on setting the image to PV1 or 2 the edited badge appears in the filmstrip, i.e. before making any change. After making a change (Clarity or any other slider) and then doing Settings>Update to Current Process the edited badge remains.

That is a good clue, Jim.  Are you able to replicate with PV2 or PV1?

Based on that tidbit, it may be as-designed. I am going to have to ask a few questoins of the engineering team.

Rikk, I can see the issue on both MacOS and Win10 but only if the unedited image is at PV3. No issue with a PV4 image.

So strange since I can reproduce it all the time on two different machines using different catalogues and different Lr Classic Versions.

I am also not able to duplicate this.
