Sliders in all tabs move to minimum when clicking on them with the mouse

I just updated to Lightroom Classic 15.6 Release: September 2026

I now have an issue on the Develop and Print Tabs where whenever I select a slider on the right hand side of the screen (i.e. in “Develop” - “Exposure”, “Contrast”, etc.) the slider automatically moves to the lowest value, and when trying to drag the slider, the mouse location is not on the eyedrop of the slider, rather is a distance to the right away from it.

I have tried disabling the GPU in preferences and have also restarted my machine with no change in the issue.  Has anyone experienced this issue and have they found a fix?

System:

  • Mac Studio 2025 M4 Processor
  • 128 GB
  • Tahoe 26.3
  • 8 TB Hard drive.

Thanks in advance.

Update MacOS to 26.7.1 (or macOS 27) and the problem will be solved.

Thanks Johan.  That addressed the issue.

Does Adobe provide information about system requirements on a new release?  That would have helped.

Yes, they do, but that would not have helped in this case. What Adobe does is mention that Lightroom runs fine on MacOS Tahoe, not that it runs fine on all older versions of it. You should always keep your OS up to date, because updates are meant to fix bugs (among other things) and such a bug can cause something like this.
