ios camera shortcut won't open camera option in lightroom

The ios lightroom camera shortcut only sometimes opens the camera in lightroom, other times it only opens the lightroom app, but than I can’t even open the camera from the app itself. Closing and reopening doesn’t fix it either. Latest ios version.

On iOS27 on iPhone 16 Pro Max (using a more recent Testflight build), I was initially able to reproduce this from the long-press on app icon > Take photo, although Lightroom was also syncing at the same time, which may or may not be related. There was no error, it just opened straight to Lightroom Grid view and pressing the blue camera button didn’t do anything.

Once I force quit the app, the control center button, lock screen widget, long-press on the icon and blue camera button all work again for me. So for anyone else affected, try swiping up to the app switcher and then swipe the LR app off the top of the screen then try reopening it and visiting the camera.

Hi @Tamás32924769ieot

Thanks for reaching out. To help us narrow down what’s happening, could you please share the following details?

  • Your iPhone model
  • Exact iOS version
  • Lightroom app version
  • Which shortcut are you using to launch the Lightroom camera?
  • When the camera becomes inaccessible, what happens when you try to open it directly from within Lightroom? Does nothing happen, or do you see an error/message?

We’re here to help, just need more info!

Hello, I have an Iphone 17 pro max with ios 27, but it happened with previous ios versions too, that’s why I stopped using it for a while. Lightroom version is: 11.5.30 D6A8E4/256. I was using the shortcut that is available in the control center. I also tried it through the shortcuts app, but got the same result. After it becomes inaccessible, nothing happens when pressing the button. No error messages. Thank you for the help!
