hey there

you have to export using the export button

so go to gallery view of the album and ctrl a, then click the export button
up in the top right hand corner

then export as normal

annoying bug but apparently they are fixing it

hope this helps! 😊

Sorting by date will use the embedded exact date and time that the camera tagged the original file with. It is accurate to the sub second. I do events with multiple cameras and sort by date in SmugMug correctly interweaves images from multiple cameras and phones as long as you make sure their clocks are synchronized. The date and time you export your files has no bearing on this. It it the metadata embedded capture time that is used for this sort order on SmugMug. If you get a different result something else is wrong and would be good to share some files you see the issue with. Bottom line is to never rely on the order in which images are exported. Rely on the metadata.

that didn’t work - I had them sorted in time created in LR , date created was the same for both cameras . Once they are in jpegs, date created changed - so all the same date - unless I  am missing something ? The photos were taken over 2 days - and once it has sorted on date, it then sorted on camera (which was in file name) and then on image number. It wuld not  be a problem if I as only using one camera - but I am using both at the same (almost) time. Unless I am confusing ppl. I was using the R5/6 & RF 24-105 and RF 14-35.

hania, why not just use the "date taken" sort order in smugmug? It's in Gallery Settings->Appearance.

Hi ,

I have had the same issue - running 2 cameras at the same time. The suggested update didnt help. My file numbering is yyyymmdd-camera-file number.  I sort on capture time - and again, when exported to Smugmug, the order is all messed up. I managed to get round this by including the capture time at the start of the file name - and they are now ok - but a very laborious way around the issue.

Hello all!
I suddenly have a problem exporting photos that I have never encountered before.
As soon as I export photos, they are in a completely messed up order and no longer in the order I edited them in Lightroom.

Can anyone help me with this?

Wow that explains why we couldn't reproduce it. Would never have expected that the different ways to invoke this would lead to different results.
