I appreciate the feedback.  I agree that it may not get fixed anytime soon since it only affects a limited amount of people.

Well, there you have it from someone 'in the know'. I admit to being somewhat irritated by this fault myself, but of course, there's a lot more to Lightroom CC that's working properly and after all it's an evolving product.
Basically a wait and see thing I guess.

> This may influence how fast Adobe rectifies the issue

The release schedule is fixed at 2-3 monthly intervals throughout the year. The only time they break from the fixed schedule is for hot fix double-dot releases, where Lightroom as a whole is basically unusable (thankfully rare!). Everything else gets into the fixed release schedule as soon as it can.

Ron, I'd suggest ignoring that feature on the desktop. Even when they fix it, it's liable to break again due to changes at FB, so don't arrange your workflow around it.

All I know is that the unable to export to Facebook glitch affects only some users but not all. I'd imagine it couldn't be a vastly complicated problem as it doesn't affect every user. This may influence how fast Adobe rectifies the issue. Their attitude might well be 'If it works for most people, that'll do for the time being'.
It's certainly been a while and Adobe still can't seem to nail it.

You can add me to list that have this problem of not being able their Facebook sharing.  Anything new on this - just spent too much time on this. Just started using LR CC this past few days - mostly positive but would like to know if this is a feature I can use.

Of course, both Flickr (and SM) are supported as publishers in LR Classic. I've also come across an Instagram Publisher.
To me it makes sense for LR, both flavors to be able to publish to popular Photo Communities if possible.

Thanks Nik. 🙂  We have to have a bit of fun around here!

I don't know whether Instagram's API allows uploads from the desktop now. I believe it's only recently been introduced, and for business accounts only, so Instagram may not be possible.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Flickr now SmugMug's taken them over.

Of course I have a sense of humour!
That was (mostly)the intention of my comment. Besides being a photographer I'm a 'computer guy', I know these things happen :). Interesting how it only affects some and not others.
I think they should add the other two, of the 'big 3'. That is Instagram and Flickr.
By the way, I often read and enjoy your articles.

There was no watermark at all at first, then they later added a text watermark. Just so u know.
