P: Cover Photos for People albums won't synch to Lightroom on my iOS devices

I have APL Version 7.0 on an iMac running Sonoma 14.0 and iOS 17.0.3 on my mobile devices

 

On my desktop app, I am able to choose any picture within a specific person's people album to be the cover photo for that people album.

 

However, not all Cover Photos sync to the Cover Photos for the people on my iPhone and iPad

 

On my iPhone "some" have synched - others have not despite closing the app on the desktop and iPhone and restarting - multiple times

 

On my iPad, none of the cover photos have synched/updated to reflect the changes made on the desktop app

 

Unfortunately, People albums are not available in the cloud - so, I am unable to see which cover photo is displayed in the cloud

 

Is this non-synching issue a bug?

 

If not, how do I get the remaining cover photos to synch on my phone and all cover photos for people to synch on my iPad?

      I am curious as to what happens if you try either of the following:

       

      1.  Adjust a cover photo that failed to sync by a tiny bit (exposure +.01) and then move to another image to commit the sync.  Does the cover then sync?
        or
        2. On a Cover image that won't sync. Change the cover to a different image of the person, go to a different person, then return to the first and change the image from the incorrect image to the nonsyncing correct image. Does it sync?

      I tried your suggestion #1 - no change

       

      Please could you be more specific for your suggestion #2 - on which device should I make the cover image change..?
      IPad? (No people image covers are synching)

      iPhone? (Some people image covers are synching)

      iMac?

       

      Please see attached photo showing differences

      On the device where it is correct, change it to a different one, allow sync to complete, then change it back and allow it to sync again.
