I edited a photo yesterday. I open Lightroom today, and all the edits are gone.

In the current update of Lightroom Cloud, my edits dissapear at irregular intervals just like the previous user cdgh77 mentions: i simply click on another image to edit that one, and when I return to the previous edited picture the edits might or might not be gone. Sometimes I edit 4 photos, and when selecting them to export, or select one of the earlier edited photos of that session, 1, 2 or sometimes even 3 photos are missing their edits. Sometime entiingmarrely, sometimes partially. The thumbnails in the filmstrip however show the full edits. Below notice the filmstrip showing finished edited photos (last in row) and their various edit states in the actual editview. In this case, like others, only 1 of the 4 photos edited is intact. This also can occur when I switch back to grid view before I export. This is happening on 2 seperate computers using the cloud based version of Lightroom version 4.1 build 2020 1120 - 17d302b.

Since an update recently, if I step off of a picture to move on to the next one, my edits on the prior picture will disappear!  This has never been an issue before.

@DGrainger And I quote you, from a reply above:

"Also, you wrote "I'm not supposed to click Save after editing a photo, do I?"

The answer is YES, because if you do not save, then the version of the file that was on storage is not updated with your edits."

And I quote you from another reply:

"as the OP stated, he or she simply left the computer open for a while and shut it off without actually saving the file after making edits, then that is pilot error."

Which made me think I had to suddenly start saving edits when that wasn't the case before.

@4102255: Where did I give advice about how to fix this issue? Read what I wrote!!

@DGrainger If you're not even a Lightroom user, then why are you giving advice about how to fix this issue?

@DGrainger Well, that's not how previous Lightroom versions worked. So what changed in that latest update? I would never save any of my images before.

Well, it's a bit ridiculous that Adobe allowed this bug to go through, and even more so that they haven't fixed it.

But alright, your step 1 makes sense. I'll do that, thanks!

Geez... I mean that while inside Photoshop, if you click on File / Save or File / Save as..., the user experience I'm put through is awful. Photoshop, and all Adobe products for that matter, always suggest a certain folder to save files in, and overall, just keep pushing the user to buy their cloud solution.

That's why I dislike it, not the file system, but the user experience they offer to interact with my device's filing system.

Please let me know once you have this fixed. I edited 25 to 250 photos at a time and it is extremely frustrating to go back to my grid and export, then see that a random group of 10-20 are reverted back to unedited form.
