P: IOS Lightroom Image Import Shortcut stopped working

When Adobe first introduced it’s iOS import Shortcut for Lightroom I started using it often and reliably. However, it suddenly stopped working on both my 2021 M1 iPad Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Now when I try to use the shortcut to import an image from Photos it gives the error “The operation could not be completed. (WFActionErrorDomain error 1” Has anyone else encountered this problem? I have tried deleting he shortcut and recreating it, but it did not help.

@Bob Somrak

1) Context: The title and original post by kevinwestby explicitly address the WFActionErrorDomain error 1 in connection with the iOS Lightroom import shortcut. That is precisely what I'm talking about. I simply tried to bypass manual file selection using the “get content of folder” action, but ended up with the same error.

2) No Solution: The workflow you showed (Select Files) is one option, but it requires manual selection of files in the app. This is hardly any faster or more practical than sharing directly from the Files app. The main purpose of an automated shortcut is to avoid these manual steps.

3) Regarding the core problem: The "WFActionErrorDomain error 1" also occurs with your "Select Files" approach.

This thread is talking about the IOS/IPADOS shortcut function in the Shortcuts App.   It sounds like you are referring to something else.  Here is a created shortcut I use and it works fine.

Is this still a thing? I got myself an iPhone 12 for an Apple centric camera and wanted to optimize the raw workflow (as to my surprise Lightroom can't auto import them on IOS).

I created the shortcut "get content of folder" and sent this to the Lightroom import action that produced this error. Just 2 files in my test.

Any workaround how to get those files imported with out a manual share in the file explorer?

Correction, it is still not working on iOS and it occassionally does not working on iPadOS. 😞

If I do small batches of image/video selections 4-5, it works on my iPad.  Larger number of selections were failing.  Unfortuantely, I could not establish a specific number between what would work and what would fail :-(.

Grrrrrr......and now it is not working in iOS or iPad OS!!!  I am running the latest OS release v18.3.2 on both devices and v10.2.3 of LR on both devices.

I am kicking this back to Acknowledged as it is currently broken again but only for iOS 18.

Looks like it broke again in v10..2.2 on iOS? 😞  Still working on latest iPadOS.  Anyone seeing anything different?

This appears to be working again in LrM 10.2.1  I wonder when Adobe will break it again?

Yes, this is broken using the LM 10.0.2 and IOS 18.1.  Mine actually does an import but after several tries it only imports a portion of the photos.  If I selected 8 it will import any where from 1 to 7.  It never imported all of them at one time.  Hope this gets fixed quicker than last time.
