P: Lens Blur "Refinement Error" & "Something went wrong" on Lightroom Android

Device: Samsung Galaxy A25 5G

App: Adobe Lightroom Mobile (latest version downloaded from the Google Play Store)

Subscription: Adobe Lightroom Premium

Issue: Lens Blur opens and works normally. I can adjust the blur amount, bokeh shape, and all other settings. The preview is displayed correctly.

However, when I adjust the Focus Range (depth range) and tap Apply, Lightroom always displays the following error:

"A refinement error occurred. Please try again."

The effect is visible in the preview, but it cannot be applied because the refinement process fails.

I have already reinstalled the application, and the issue persists.

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide an update on the Lens Blur errors reported in this thread.

The issue we were investigating, where Lens Blur could fail with “Something went wrong,” and Focus Range refinement could fail after applying Lens Blur, has been addressed.

If this is still failing today, please reply here with your device model, Android version, Lightroom version, and the exact error message you receive. If possible, please also include a short screen recording.

There’s no need to reinstall Lightroom or repeatedly retry the operation before reporting back.

    Best,
    Anshul Saini

My blur refinement tool doesn’t work at all. The blur tool makes all the fur on my wildlife photos and the bird beaks blur into the backgrounds. I adjust the depth and the amount of blur, but it doesn’t help, so I just skip the blur tool altogether. Any suggestions?
