P: Lightroom mobile 10.5.4 crashes when opening video on Pixel 10 Pro & XL

Hello,

Wondering if anyone else encountered this bug: When opening a video from Lr on my phone, it loads for a few seconds, black screens and crashes the app. Pictures are fine, editing pictures is fine, just videos. Any suggestions would be great.

I am using a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.

Thank you.

A heard back from LR support team. They are working on a solution to that. They have acknowledged that this issue is with pixel 10 users. Just press upvote in the original post and follow it until the "unresolved" turns into "resolved or fixed"

Seriously. I had the similar thoughts. I understand that bugs exist and this is a fairly new phone with all the latest tech. Why hasn't been fixed already.

Same here. Adobe fix this issue. I can't believe I'm paying so much money for an app that can't handle one of the most popular present brands of phones.

Hi, I am having trouble with editing videos on Lightroom mobile. The app just crashes as soon as I open the video on Lightroom without a crash report. The app crash message disappears quickly. I see there has been no answer even on other subs. I just switched to paid version today to be able to edit videos and it already has been an infuriating experience.

Can someone please help me?

Curious if anyone found a fix to this. I'm experiencing the same issue as of today. Photo editing is fine, just the videos.

Curious any updates on this. I just got a pixel 10 and went to work on my videos and am experiencing same thing.

I'm also having the same problem with my Pixel 10 Pro.  Can confirm everything else other have said, and I'll also include videos take with my Pixel 10, whereas I never had any issue with my Asus Zenfone 10

Hey All! Thanks for raising this. Have you all migrated using a backup from an older device?

This may be totally unrelated, but I found a recent conversation in Google Community where users who've carried over older backups reported crash issues: https://adobe.ly/3Kq7GLH;

For now, we'll need the diagnostic log to review this further. Please follow these steps:

1—In Lightroom, click the Menu button (3 horizontal lines) in the top left.

2—Tap and hold the grey LR icon next to your name to reveal the Send Feedback option.

3—Click on the 'Send Feedback' & wait for the diagnostic logs to finish compiling.

4—Once the logs are generated, email them to 'Lrm-android-diagnostics@adobe.com'.

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem on a Pixel 10 Pro. I just upgraded from a Pixel 6 where videos in Lightroom were working fine. But now on the Pixel 10 opening any video file causes the app to crash.

Hi @Moose204,

Thanks for reporting this! To help us look into the crash, could you share a few more details:

  • Which version of Lightroom Mobile are you using?

  • Your Android OS version on the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

  • The format/codec of the video file you’re trying to open (e.g., MP4, MOV, HEVC).

  • Approximately how large are the video files that cause the crash?

  • Does the crash happen with all videos or only certain ones?

This info will help us test and figure out whether it’s a compatibility issue or a possible bug.

Regards,

Srishti

Lr Version 10.5.3

Android OS Version 16

Both MP4 and MOV have crashed. I don't have any other formats to test.

Smallest I have is 20mb and largest I have is 100mb videos.

It is every video. They are old videos, so I just uploaded one that I made specifically to test the crash and it also crashes.

Let me know what else you need. Thank you!
