P: Lightroom mobile Allow access to files and folder pop-up on iOS 26.0.1/26.1

While trying to import from an sd card to light room it tells me to grant access to files and folders.  That is already toggled on. As well as photos having full access.  It's still preventing me from importing photos from an sd card. Even without the sd card connected and I click import, it tells me to grant access to Lightroom. It's been toggled on and off. Force reset and reinstalled with the same issue

This appears to be fixed with iOS 26.1 beta 2.

Issue Description:

Lightroom on iPad doesn’t open the option to import photos from an SD card or camera. A message appears asking to allow access to Files and Folders. However, even after going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Files and Folders > Lightroom and enabling the permission, nothing changes.

I’ve already tried the following without success:

  • Restarting the iPad
  • Reinstalling the app
  • Signing out and back into my Adobe account
  • Testing with different SD cards and cameras

The issue persists and Lightroom keeps showing the same message without allowing imports.

Yep I'm having the same exact problem. I know that Adobe is looking into it, but I figured I'd chime in to say I have the same problem.

Thanks, this appears to have broken between iOS 26/26.0.1 and iOS 26.1. We're looking into it, but in the mean time, you've already identified the workaround - Add photos from Files and browse to the connected card or import the images into the camera roll and add from there

I'm seeing this as well. Originally I had two entries for lightroom in the settings - one toggled on, the other off. One removed itself when i changed it's state but it made no difference to Lightroom and i still can't import from a connected device

There are a few work around that are annoying.  Navigate from the files option instead of connected camera device. Or import to photos on the device. Then go to Lightroom and import them.  Annoying but works.

Hello

I can't import into my new Ipad mini as LR mobile does not show in privacy / files&folders, hence can't be switched on. I re-booted the IPAD and even delete & re-installed the IPAD .. no good.

Leaving early next week for a trip and really need to import files into LR from my nikon and sony cameras, no problem prior on IPAD pro M1 ... but new IPAD does not show the app at all in files & folders .

Help please
