P: Lightroom Mobile Stuck Loading Photos with Greyed Out Editing Controls

Over the past 3 days, lightroom mobile does not work, period. It won't add photos from my photos app, and any photos that are in there are unable to be edited. All I get is the spinning wheel.

It also will not export any photos. Basically it is unusable.

I am using the latest Android version, on a pixel 10 pro XL.

Look forward to hearing feedback and how the issue can be rectified

    Hi @Ross2511000501vd @KBerry93,

Thank you for the detailed feedback, KBerry93, and for the screen recording; it's very helpful.

To help us narrow it down faster, could you both confirm:

Have you both updated to Lightroom v11.3.3?
Does the issue occur only on Wi-Fi, only on mobile data, or on both?

KBerry93: You mentioned reinstalling temporarily fixes it for about an hour. Does the issue recur after a sync completes or after a specific action?

In the meantime, here are a few things to try:

    • Check Lightroom Web (lightroom.adobe.com) to confirm your photos and edits are intact in the cloud.
    • In Lightroom Mobile, pause sync and under preferences in the image quality section, see if toggling “only download reduced-resolution " makes any difference?

Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

    Best,
    Anshul Saini

    Good Afternoon,

The update to V11.3.3 has seem to have fixed this issue and is no longer an issue for me personally on my mobile devices. Not sure how it was fixed but it seems to be handled.

    Thank you.

Thanks for confirming that, @KBerry93. Glad to hear Lightroom Mobile v11.3.3 appears to have resolved the issue on your devices.

@Ross2511000501vd could you also please confirm whether updating to v11.3.3 resolves the issue on your side as well?

    Best,
    Anshul Saini

    Hi @Ross2511000501vd,

Sorry for the trouble. That does sound like the app is stuck in a bad state.

First, please update to the latest version of Lightroom mobile (v11.3.2) and check if the issue is resolved. You may also verify in Lightroom Web whether your edits and images are synchronized and being exported as expected or not.

Also, when did this start happening, right after an update or suddenly? To help us understand better, please share a short screen recording showing:

    • Import failing

    • Spinning wheel while editing

    • Export failure

This will help us see whether it’s a sync issue, a local cache problem, or something specific to Pixel/Android 16 builds.

Once you share that, we can take this forward with the product team.

    Best,
    Anshul Saini

I am having the same issue as well across both my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Tab8 Ultra. I am uploading the photos to Lightroom Dektop and the photos seem to be syncing to my mobile apps but when i got in to edit anything, either new or extremely old photos, it is giving me a rotating loading circle over the photo with gray sliders.

For reference, this issue has been happening around the time of the mobile update coming out (v11.3.2). I have cleared cache, cleared data, force stopped, uninstalled and reinstalled. Every so often that method works for about an hour and then it is right back to the issue again. Attached is the screen record from my phone with the exact issue. I am also not able to export as well.

I'm so pleased someone else has seen this and is having same issues. I did the uninstall and reinstall, which promptly removed ALL of my cloud based photos on the mobile. Although they have come back, I literally can't do anything. It is actually completely useless as an app. Sadly Adobe take weeks to come back and ask for a huge amount of info, but I do feel they should be able to rectify from the feedback already provided, in particular with yours now too. Hope it gets fixed soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼
