P: LrM (Android v11.4.1 & later) lose the synced Albums when on a cellular network.

LR Mobile (Android v11.4.1) is losing the synced Albums when on a cellular network. The synced images can still be seen in the All Images folder.  Interestingly, returning to a Wi-Fi connection, the Albums will eventually return. If I’m on cellular, I can get the albums to appear by logging out of LR Mobile, clear cache, and then going through two factor authorization to log back in. However, that is not sustainable.

I verified that the setting for “Use Cellular Data” was still turned On

I had no issues with my 100 albums appearing in the LR Mobile Android app while on the cellular network prior to installing the v11.4.1 update.

I'm having this same issue as well. My albums are still there somewhere and can be accessed if I have the url but I'm not seeing the albums in my Lightroom App

Hey, @Jack Ledgerwood. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out.

Please share more details, mobile device & OS details, screenshots, and video recordings of your Lightroom workflow. Do the images appear correctly when viewed on Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com)?

Are any of these albums originally created on Lightroom Classic, or Lightroom desktop? Has this started to happen since a recent update?

    Thanks!

Samsung Galaxy S25, Android 16, One UI 8.5

I do everything on Lightroom Classic (LRc). I add my images to a ton of collections in LRc. Many of the collections are synced to Adobe and appear as Albums. There are currently 3721 images synced to Adobe via the synced collections. Up until the LR mobile (LRm) v16.4.1 for Android, all of the synced images appeared in their appropriate Albums in LRm regardless of whether I was connected via Wi-Fi or on a cellular network. Following the update that I applied around Jun 19, the Albums on LRm were not present, although the “All photos” folder held all of my synced images from the LRc.

My first workaround was to log out of LRm, clear the cache via the android tool, and then log back into LRm. Magically, all of the synced collections/albums from my LRc were present. But, I would go back onto Wi-Fi and they would disappear again. The 16.4.2 update changed the behavior a little where the Albums appear and disappear on LRm without changing networks.

LR Mobile (Android v11.4.1) is losing the synced Albums, especially when on a cellular network. The synced images can still be seen in the All Images folder.  On a Wi-Fi connection, the Albums will sometimes appear and then disappear even without reconnecting on the Wi-Fi. When I leave the Wi-Fi and go to my cellular network, I lose visiblity to all the Albums that I saw moments ago while connected to Wi-fi. Sometime, I can get the albums to appear by logging out of LR Mobile, clear cache, and then going through two factor authorization to log back in. However, that is not sustainable.

I verified that the setting for “Use Cellular Data” was still turned On

I had no issues with my 100 albums appearing in the LR Mobile Android app while on the cellular network prior to installing the v11.4.1 update. This issue persists with the v11.4.2.

Thanks for the update. Lightroom mobile v11.4.3 is available now, please update. If the issue still exists, please record your screen in a video and share with us. Also, what is the total number of albums, and estimated number images?

    Thanks!

@Sameer K, Thanks for getting back to me. I’m running the Android Lightroom mobile v11.4.3 and I’m still encountering the issue. I currently have 3724 images synced in 96 albums.  The screenshots are from my mobile device.

The first image you can see several of my albums as I was in one and I was looking at selecting a different album. The second image shows my list of albums as they appear immediately following the standard LR folders. The third image shows my problem where none of my albums are shown but you can clearly see in the top part of the screenshot, the counts for my synced images are what I would expect.

What things have I have done prior to the albums disappearing.

    1. cleared the active task from the Android list by selecting the “|||” icon on the bottom left and selecting “Close all”.
    2. changed “networks” by dropping the Wi-Fi and moving onto the cellular network.
    3. a combination of 1 and 2.

Things that I have done to try to get my albums back:

    1. Log out of LR Mobile, clear the Android task cache, “Clear all” android tasks, log back into LR Mobile via 2-factor authentication.  (very time-consuming and prone to error and frustration process)
    2. clear the Android task cache, “Clear all” android tasks (occasionally works)

If I don’t clear the task from the Android task list, v11.4.3 has been a little better about seeing my albums even when changing the networks from Wi-Fi to cellular.

This problem did not exist for me prior to v11.4.1

This issues persists with the Android v11.4.2 Lightroom Mobile app that I downloaded and installed.
