P: Mobile (Android): Gets confused with both microSD and an external SD cards

I got a Samsung Galaxy Note9 specifically for LrCC and microSD local storage.  Connecting a USB-C/SD card adapter for importing works, and the My Files app sees both the microSD and the external SD card. But Lr stops import at once (I have my SD cards set to read-only) -- turns out it replaces the microSD in preferences with the new external SD the moment you connect the adapter. It gets confused to the point it wants to resync, so you have to disconnect the adapter. This is even despite the fact the the sources in the import dialogue show both the microSD and the external SD.

The solution had been copying from the external D to the internal device memory (512GB) first, then importing from there.  Is there a way to keep Lr focused on microSD?

Did you ever get this sorted out? I removed a full SD card worth of Lightroom Camera Photos from my phone. When I inserted the SD card again, Lightroom is not finding those photos that were taken with Lightroom camera. Where did all of those photos go?

Thank you Jeffrey.  I've just hit my second 512GB microSD disappearing after being half-filled by the Lr data, and wonder if it is a related problem.  After that the Files app doesn't see the card anymore and I see that the disappearing microSD card is a problem on the Android devices and Samsung phones in general.  This is rather new to me coming from laptops with SD cards that never seem to do that out of the blue so perhaps it's a related issue or may be not, just adding it here in case it gives any clues.

Someone's just told me that if you move the app itself to the SD card, it solves it for them. I'm not an Android regular, so don't ask me how, but if you do it, let us know if that helps!

yes, dual camera support, dual aperture support, comments section (when you share a collection with other people you cannot see which pictures they liked, commented), finger gestures to show histogram etc, also the app seems slower than the ios version.

I have the exact same issue with with DJI mavic Air connected via USB-C->microUSB OTG. Works great with phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) itself, LR CC is absolutely out of the game, missing his storage and so on. I have to kill LR app first, copy photos from drone to internal SD card, disconnect the drone and then I can import pictures from internal SD card. Not very convenient.

So far I only found that the dual camera support is missing.  Note9 has a dual aperture even!   What other features of iOS do you see missing on Android?

i got galaxy note 8 for the exact same reason only to find out that a lot of functions are missing (compared to the ios version), and the pen pressure isn't supported by lightroom cc. 😞
