P: Mobile: iOS switches back to Auto Mode... since iOS 12 update or 4.1.1 update

Very recently I updated iOS to 12 (necessary for some app).
I realize it occured about the same time as the Lr 4.1.1 upgrade (711BD8).

Now, everytime I start the camera, I'm back to auto mode and 4:3 and f#@&g activated flash on.

Is it only me ? If I uninstall it, i'll have to download all my pictures again ? what informations would I loose ?

Is there a better way to reset prefs ?

Rikk, any news on the issue ? It seems nothing was solved here, and I read the New Features Notes...

Same problem for me.

I'm figuring since few month now that when I'm using the Camera from lightroom, the settings are not saved and I always have to switch my options again.

For example, when I'm starting the camera of lightroom, DNG format is activated, flash is activated, grid is not displayed... and I would like to keep my settings.

I am presently using an iphone 8 with last ios 12.2 with the last version of lightroom cc v4.2.0

Thanks!

Rikk, I want to echo what others have said that this is still a real problem that needs to be addressed.

Hi Rikk,

This issue isn’t getting any response. It is classified as not a problem. But it is a recurring one to date.

Can you please give this some serious attention?

The problem happened again today on my iPhone. I restored Pro mode and all my settings: flash off, 3:2 aspect ratio, and level display on. What’s new this time is that some 10 minutes later I realised that it had reverted back to Auto mode again. So this time there wasn’t an extended period of time before it did so. Also interesting is that my iPad is still in Pro mode with all my settings. So the two aren’t being synchronised.

This is a real problem but the issue is being classified as “not a problem”.

I only have an iPhone, and I have this problem, so I don't think it's an issue of syncing between the iPhone and iPad apps.

One thought to add to the mix.

I have LR mobile on both my iPhone and iPad. I noticed that my iPad has the camera set to Auto. I suspect I left it at that default because I rarely use it.

But I do use the LR Camera on my iPhone frequently, which is why I have it set to Pro. Until recently it used to stay at Pro. Is it possible that LR mobile is now (intentionally or unintentionally) trying to align the two apps, thereby reverting the iPhone to match the iPad?

One final comment. This is a genuine problem and usability issue. Until recently it was not happening. Every one of the 4-5 times this has happened in the last week or so, I have missed shots because I had to revert back to all the Pro settings.

Can you please give this serious attention?
