P: Unable to import vertically-composed HEIF photos from SD card

Is there and update regarding Fujifilm and the inability to Import Portrait HEIF Images (Input Lightroom Mobile, Classic works fine) from the XT5 or X100VI. I havent seen any updates or fixes in the last time.

I can provide samples as well, but I guess thats not needed here.

I think someone made a mistake by merging your post into this unrelated thread.

I also think your question may be best answered in the Camera Raw forum, since Lightroom relies on Adobe Camera Raw for decoding lossy and lessless raw images.  I'm hoping someone can speak to your DNG conversion matter.  I'll move your post.

I am not sure why my issue with lossy DNGs was merged with the HEIF issue. These are not the same.

I mentioned Fujifilm in my post as the Fujifilm images do work correctly, whereas the iPhone images do not.

Can confirm this issue is happening to me as well, Lightroom v10.3.0 on iPadOS 18.4.1, Fuji X100VI on firmware v1.21. Shooting RAW + HEIF on the X100VI, when importing RAWs and HEIFs only landscape HEIFs are imported.

Camera model is a Fuji X-T5 with Firmware 4.10.
I've just sent you a PM with a link to some sample images which I tested with 10.2.3 - import still fails for the vertical one. Import on macOS ain’t a problem. Feel free to contact me for further questions.

What camera model are you using for capture?  I'll see if we can get image samples to try and reproduce this for developers to be able to debug the issue.

Please reopen ASAP! This is STILL an issue with 10.2.2 (iPhone & iPad) with Fuji HIF. Feel free to contact me for further details.

Paying a yearly fee for Lightroom and not to be able to use the software as intended is really annoying. Is there anyone in charge for refunding?
