Cant align images error

Hi! I am trying to use the latest photogrammetry feature in Sampler 4.0 and running into issues.

I was sent some images by a client of a person standing against a white studio backdrop in same positon and a camera taking pictures around them turntable style. The lighting isnt perfect but fairly neutral, and gets the person from all angles. I used the masking tool to generate masks and almost all of them are perfect (side note: would be amazing to have an easy tool to mask out things or make corrections on the fly for these auto generated ones, some just needed a slight brushing to fix a floater etc)

Whenever I hit next steps... no matter the settings I use low or high / sorting order etc I get the error the photos cannot be aligned and to retry. Whenever I retry I get an unknown error telling to submit a bug. I cant for the life of me figure out what is going on, I tried less images, more images etc and still get same error. If I cant use it for stuff even shot in a studio I am not sure how I can use it with some general shots from my iphone so trying to figure out what might cause this. Sadly I can't share these specific photos due to being a client project, but was just wondering in general what causes this error and what I can try on my end?

Specs: Windows 11 / Latest update of apps + drivers + OS. Brand new install of the app on new machine.

PLEASE CAN YOU SHARE WHAT YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY:

'But the failed images are successful when taken separately."

What do you mean "when taken seperately"   You do not show anything different in either video to show what you mean,  I too have never oce had a successful use of 3D Sampler having tried every version it is all but useless unless one wants a 180 degree model (also uselss..)  it never does 360 exeot in you second example but I do not know what you did differently,..  PLEASE! ??

IMHO now we need to get static object and only move camera.

Hello

I've been having a similar issue. I've had total success using 3D capture in the past few months. It seems there have been two updates since 4.0 and now everytime I attempt to submit my photos after the auto masking, I receive a note that says an "error occured while processing dataset"? Did something change in the past few months that would cause this issue? Is there a way to work around it?

i used substance 3d sampler for photogrammetry. I provided 64 photos.32 images were not aligned properly.

But the failed images are successful when taken separately.

@Ares Hovhannesyan In your case, there is many problem in your photos:

  • Low resolution
  • Too noisy
  • Glossy subsject
  • Exposure issue
  • Blurry
  • White balance is inconsistent

Hard do do a comparison here with a studio set.

This dataset will never allign properly.
