Image to material AI causing black mesh

I don't really know how to describe this correctly but basically after opening an image to be converted to a material using AI I can see it loading but once it's done I'm just left with a black mesh and no textures whatsoever 😕😕

This is on windows 10, RTX 3070ti laptop

    Hi,

Can you tell if there were no changes after deleting/reinstalling file?

Can you explain step by step how you save your file and how you try to open them? This will help us reproduce the issue. It would be great if you could share a project you have this issue with.

    Regards

    Hi,

Sampler try to use the old Image to material (AI Powered). Something went wrong during the update.

You can try the "reload" blue button below the layers ("Neu laden" in your UI Language).

If it doesn't work you can try to rename (for back up) or delete this folder:
    /Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

It will reset Sampler, you will need to reconnect your local folders if you had any.

Hi, can you share your logfile?
Go to Help menu > Export Log

Did you try to lower the document resolution to see if there is any differences?

Did you try the workaroud mentionned in this thread already?

    Thanks.

This happens on apple silicon from the beginning. It never worked for me! Adobe is way behind others but they don´t care.

AI not working on M2 - B2M works fine more or less.

Thats what you get when using AI…

Workaround: Open the cache folder, delete all black files, reopen the project. The error often (but not only) occurs when Sampler is trying to calculate multiple materials at once. After deletion of the cached files, assuming that it weren't all of them, Sampler has to recreate them and since there are less files to compute, the chance for this error to occur is smaller - but not zero. In case it happens again, repeat.

Intel i9 with 32GB RAM and NVIDIA RTX 3070ti laptop. The error also occurs
when there's plenty of RAM free.

Probably it can be memory issue
