P: Images in the app appear dark after the new UI Android update.

Hallo Adobe-Team,

Dominik Reigl

Turns out orientation matters on my tablet, landscape dark...portrait normal..

Same problem using the app on an Android phone. The app is unusable with this bug.

No problem on iPad or PC.

I am also experiencing the same issue.

It has been occurring since 5 February (JST).

My device is an AQUOS R9.

I found a workaround: Disable HW Overlays

    1. Enable Developer Options (Tap Build Number 7 times).
    2. Scroll down to the Hardware accelerated rendering section.
    3. Turn ON "Disable HW overlays".

As soon as this is toggled, the image brightness in Edit mode returns to normal.

The caveat of this workaround is that it resets after each reboot.

Is that an IOS only thing? Tapping the build number in “about Lightroom” does nothing for me.

This is for Android. More detailed guide:

    1. Open phone settings
    2. Search for “About phone”
    3. Open “Software information”
    4. Tap on “Build number” seven times
    5. Go back to the main settings menu
    6. Scroll all the way down and open “Developer options”
    7. Scroll down to the Hardware accelerated rendering section.
    8. Turn on "Disable HW overlays".

Same here, worked fine yesterday, nothing changed on my Android tablet. Android Phone seems fine for now.

I am having the same bug, I am already trying absolutely everything. And it happens to me from yesterday afternoon and update the computer today to UI8 so I do not think it is the update of the operating system. It just started to happen, I can no longer edit from the phone, and I use it a lot to work with.
