P: Content Credentials error and no Ingredients in metadata

I'm getting the following warning in Photoshop (25.6.0 and 25.7.0 (beta) - MacBook OSX 13.6.1) , even though my document is using RGB color mode. I'm also unable to find any of the content credentials options described here - https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/content-credentials.html . There is no content credentials (beta) option under the Window tab, and in Preferences, there's only a History tab, not History & Content Credentials tab.

My images are exporting with content credentials attached, but the Ingredients object isn't populated, despite me using various imported media across different layers in the image.

@evmorgan Can you please confirm is this issue is reproducible with 25.10?

Many thanks, that does help. Turns out I don't have access to that screen, hence the difficulty finding it! However, I've found someone who does and we have now flipped the switch.

To be clear we are not blocking beta apps, users can install them fine. Is there another option somewhere in the Admin Console to specifically enable Content Credentials? I'm struggling to find any documentation about this and things that we might need to consider before doing so.

@lhuoe that is correct, the page you reference is out of date and being updated as we chat... but as I stated, you are able to use CAI in beta with Education accounts.

Hi @CShubert, the page I linked seems to be quite clear that Content Credentials are not available to Education whilst the feature is in Beta. Is that no longer the case and the page is incorrect?

Thanks for the info @lhuoe  the team is looking into the original poster's issue, but to clarify the helpx info:

  • Enterprise accounts are enabled for Content Credentials by default, unless your administrator has disabled it
  • Government accounts may enable via Admin Console — Ask your admin
  • Higher education accounts may enable via Admin Console — Ask your admin
  • K-12 education plan users - Content Credentials is not available

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks,

Your friendly IT admin here. 😉

The page on content credentials includes another gem:

Content Credentials unavailable for Education plan users.

Education plan users should be able to access Content Credentials soon after it exits Beta and becomes generally available in Photoshop.

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/content-credentials.html

It would be good if Adobe can confirm if this is the case and we are chasing a wild goose.
