Why is the Generative Fill button greyed out if I'm over 18?

If you find that Generative Fill is greyed out for you and you're over the age of 18, it is possible that you may not have a valid Date of Birth associated with your Adobe ID account. To update your Date of Birth, you can do either of the following:

  • Sign out and sign back in to both the Creative Cloud Desktop app and the Photoshop (beta) app
  • Log into Behance with your Adobe ID and enter your Date of Birth.
  • If you sign in using social sign-in (Apple, Google, and Facebook), ensure that your date of birth in that account is set to public instead of private.

Once your Date of Birth is up to date, relaunch the Photoshop (beta) app to enable Generative Fill.

Estimados, Photoshop Beta me dice que debo tener 18 años para usarla. Tengo 63. ¿Cómo puedo decir en mi cuenta mi edad, para poder usar la Beta, por favor?  Gracias y Saludos.

Yes, I've heard that in some cases too. In that event, most people should be able to reach Adobe Customer Care via live online chat:

https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen

Or to contact Adobe Customer Support by phone, go to https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html for a comprehensive list of phone numbers by geography including hours and languages.

*** Note that Adobe does not do support by email, so beware of scammers and answering anyone who sends you a private message via this forum. ***

Yep, already had a Behance account and did not get a prompt and no place to enter DOB in account settings. Chatting with support was quick and easy and they solved it.
