P: Generative workspace doesn't work

I have the latest update of Photoshop beta installed. I have checked if my firewall was blocking the application and it is not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop beta 2 times. I have checked my computer for viruses and it is not. After all these attempts Generative workspace, which was working perfectly at first, is still not working.

I’ve reset the cache three times, but the spinning wheel persists.

Thanks Tom, but the 'cleared cache' text box doesn't appear - been spinning for over 5 minutes now 😞

just installed 26.2 update.  Generative Workspace still stuck in spinning blue wheel mode.  It's ashame.  It was working and great for about a week before it got stuck.  It's now been over a week since the issue started.  I've tried everything suggested in these discussions, but no luck.

Thanks everyone for continguing to share more details about this issue. The team is still trying to reproduce it on our side, and in the meantime we've pushed an update that will hopefully restore your access to Generative Workspace after you follow these steps.

Please:

  • Make sure you have the latest Photoshop Beta (update via the Creative Cloud app if needed)
  • Restart Photoshop Beta and open Generative Workspace
  • After you see the loading spinner appear, wait at least 30 seconds.
  • After 30 seconds, you'll see a notification appear at the bottom of the window, as follows:

  • Click "Reset cache" to reset the cache and preferences for Generative Workspace.
  • The window should refresh, and you should now be able to use Generative Workspace again.

After following these steps, please let us know if you were able to use Generative Workspace again, or if you encountered any other issues. And let us know if you'd be willing to do a video call with our engineers, to help us reproduce the issue so that we can fully resolve the issue. Thank you!
