Hello everybody

So, the latest Photoshop Beta 25.9 m.2603 update which introduced the Generate Image and Reference Image features is not working for me. I'm on Windows 10 and a high-end PC by the way.

Whenever I use the Generate Image feature, I get a black layer as a result.

No matter what options I choose or what the prompt is.

Even if I choose no options at all.

It simply doesn't work. I just get 3 black options to choose from (see attached screenshot).

Needs to be fixed asap.

Thank you.

Anything?

Should I just give up?

And if I try to generate an image in a new layer, running the same prompt it does work. It generates the grass textures.

But that was never the problem in the first place. I never said the black images problem was happening in the release version. Only in the Beta, after Adobe introduced the new Generate Image feature (not the original Generative Fill one).

And since the Release Version doesn't have the new options in terms of generative fill and generate image features which is what I want to use, it's really not a solution.

So, if I open the same PSD file I sent you in Photoshop's release version (the latest one) I see this:

@Fede_OK we opened your .psd file in Ps beta and clicked generate with the same prompt that you had showing, and we were able to see these return.  If you open this same .psd file in Ps release version and run the same prompt, what are the results? Please share a screenshot of what you see.

Thanks,

Yes @Fede_OK that is exactly what we would like. It may look empty to you but there is data buried in that file which could help unlock why you are having this issue.

Feel free to send the .psd file to shubert@adobe.com

Thanks,

There's no PSD file.

I literally just open Photoshop, create a new file, of any size. I've tried 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048, etc, click on generate image, type anything that comes to mind and I get a black texture.

Do you need me to do that again and send that PSD file anyway?.

Hi @Fede_OK ,

Sorry about this issue you are facing. Its little wierd that its coming on your machine.
Could you share the PSD doc of this file and also the email id with which you are using Photoshop.

We will look into the details using PSD, and try to unblock you soon.

Thanks,
