P: PS 26.9 CMD shortcuts give duplicate results

Photoshop Beta version 26.9 on MacOS 15.5

- Pressing Cmd + [ or Cmd + ] moves layers **two steps** instead of one.
- Cmd + J creates **two new layers**, not one.
- Issue persists after reinstalling and resetting preferences.
- Not caused by actions/scripts/custom shortcuts.

- Issue is only on Beta Version, not in normal version.

the exact same things happen to me and also when i export as a file, it saves the same photo three times instead of one. This is the most annoying update ever

I was ready to tear my keyboard apart! Setting Enable Modern User Interface to OFF worked.

This may have actually fixed it for me, as well! Thank you so much 🙂

Thanks, 'Enable Modern User Interface is OFF' working for me now.

Thank you. After restarting my Photoshop Beta, this seemed to work. Can you pin this comment as the solution, so that everyone can see it?

Hi all, please check and see if this setting is set to OFF. This should be a workaround.

Preferences > Technology Previews > Enable Modern User Interface is OFF

Again, this is a workaround and not a solution. The team will fix this issue as we would like everyone to have Enable Modern User Interace set to ON.

Thanks,

I still have the problem

Same here. Irritating, but it does not occur in PS 2025 so I 'm using that now.
