Hi Axel,

I believe my issue is a little different from the one in the RTX 50-series thread you linked.

In my case, the Remove Tool was working normally until the latest Photoshop update. The “Device” option is not greyed out and I am not receiving an “on-device model unavailable” message. Instead, the AI Remove Tool starts processing, becomes extremely slow and laggy, and then fails with the error:

“We’ve encountered an issue and can’t complete your request at this time. Please try again later.”

Generative Fill continues to work normally, and the problem only affects the AI Remove Tool. I’ve also seen other users reporting similar behavior after the recent update on both Windows and Mac systems.

Because the feature worked correctly before the update and other AI features still function, this appears to be a different issue than the on-device model not being available.
