Bullets and Numbering problem

I need a plus sign in front of the text but when I add space between + and rest of the text it makes it into a bullet. There is no option to just turn it into normal text. When I disable Bullets and Numbering it deletes the + sign. Is there any workaround on this issue? I am on MacBook Pro M1, macOS Sequoia v 15.0.1, Photoshop 2025 26.0.0

I know this is a bit late but were you able to resolve the space? If not, I would suggest creating two text layers and grouping them together and adjusting as needed.  ^CM
