Cannot manipulate Curves Editor manually, Sticks when trying to move points.

I am using the latest version, 27.11. When I try to manually manipulate the curve editor the points just freeze and won’t move. This is a basic function for me that I use every few minutes. Restarting photoshop doesn’t work.

Further to that, after I try to use the Curve editor, the Hue Saturation adjustment stops working, when I try to open the adjustment window I get these 2 error messages in succession:

Drover error in ok_cancel_dialog:

photoshop_require_bug

Could not complete the Hue/Saturation command because of a program error (2a135c.901).

I’m paying £68 a month for unusable software that seems to be getting progressively worse and buggier in direct proportion to the increase in the cost. WTF Adobe?

What operating system are you using Rosie?

Hi, sorry you’re hitting this — Curves points freezing and then Hue/Saturation giving a program error is very frustrating, especially after a restart.

These are the official steps to try in order, testing Photoshop after each step, from Adobe’s guide “Adobe Photoshop crashes, lags, or freezes”:

    1. Make sure Photoshop is up to date: in the Creative Cloud desktop app, go to Updates, update Photoshop if available, then restart Photoshop.
    2. 2. Reset preferences: quit Photoshop completely, then relaunch holding Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Windows) or Shift+Cmd+Option (macOS) and choose Yes to delete preference files, then test again.
    3. 3. Update your graphics driver from your graphics card manufacturer’s website, install it, restart your computer, then launch Photoshop and test.
    4. 4. Check third-party plugins: quit Photoshop, hold Shift while launching and choose Yes to skip optional and third-party plugins. If Photoshop then works normally, remove or update the problematic plugin.
    5. 5. Update your operating system (macOS: System Settings > Software Update; Windows: Settings > Windows Update), restart your computer, then launch Photoshop and test.
    6. 6. Check fonts: validate fonts with your operating system’s font tool, remove duplicates, and temporarily disable third-party font management plugins, then restart and test.

Please try them in that order and let us know which step, if any, changes the behaviour.
