Clone stamp is lighter than sampling area

Dear all,

For a few months now I have issues using clone stamp.

I take a sample using my ALT key and then clone it.

However, when I put them next to eachother the cloned part is always lighter than the original.

Before, it was the same color as sampled. Does anyone else experience this? And is there a solution?

Thank you

Check your sampling setting. Is it current or current and below? Sampling 'all layers' will lead to issues if there are adjustment layers above the layer being sampled.

@Shellettephotog , could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

The request from post 1 obviously applies to your case, too.

Edit: You didn’t bother to mention the layers’ Blend Modes, for example. So a meaningful screenshot could really help clarify.

I am having the same issue.  Blend mode is normal and opacity is 100%. Sample is current and below. Meaning first layer is background, 2nd layer is a background duplicate and third layer is cloning.

It could be a blending mode or an opacity setting, for instance. Please provide the requested screenshot.
