Error: "The command Play is not currently available" on start up

I suddenly started getting the error message, The command “Play” is not currently available each time I open my Photoshop (26.0.0) application. The error appears twice immediately after I open the app and then when I press the ok button, Photoshop works okay.

Any idea what is causing this and how I can fix it?  Thanks. 🙂

Hi @J E L and @Stephen Marsh .

Thanks for the excellent suggestions. It turns out that there was an old script  in the Events Manager that was causing the problem. I deleted it and everything works as it should now. Thanks for the help.

Cheers,

irwin

Do you have anything set in File > Scripts > Script Events Manager?

Hi @bluespeck, a few things to try: Log completely out of Creative Cloud Desktop app (File > Quit Creative Cloud) and make sure you are logged out of your online account as well here: https://account.adobe.com/. Then launch Creative Cloud again, and open Photoshop. Is the "Play" tile still there? You can also bypass Photoshop's Home screen if you don't need it. In the Edit > Preferences > General tab, uncheck “Auto Show the Home Screen.”
