Everytime I open my PS, the function called "Target Path" is enabled. I never used this feature and I'm not even sure if it is useful for something. I want to permanently disable it, but the app do not does this.

I have to manually disable this option

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Open Photoshop, create a new file and create a shape;
  2. Open the menu “View”, so “Show” and see that Target Path is enabled;
  3. Try to transform the shape, it will transform just a invisible bounding box

It keeps turning on after you restart the app. I already reinstalled PS to see if it fixes the bug, but was not the case. Also, the proprieties panel is locked at the “Shape” propriety and I have to manually fix it.

    I’ve followed your steps trying to replicate the issue.
    I’ve opened Ps. In a new doc I’ve created a shape.

    I have the Layers panel and Paths panel showing.
    View > Show > Target Path is ticked as long as the path in the Paths panel is highlighted/targeted.
    If that path in the Paths panel isn’t targeted/selected, then Target Path in the Show menu is not ticked.

    When I click and drag one of the shape’s control points, the outer bounding box moves.
    When I release the drag, the shape alters to match how I had moved the control point.

    Is this not what happens when you do these steps?

    Hopefully, the two screen shots show.

    Hey! Thanks for the reply.

    Unfortunately, that's not what happens. When I try to transform the object with the control points, nothing happens. The bounding box resizes but the object doesn't, even if iI try. It just works when I disable this option. I want to permanently disable it, but everytime I try, it enable itself.

    Before 27.4.0, this wasn't happening, and when I updated, all my actions, swatches and another configs were gone.
