Generative fill doesnt match rest of the photo

Are you modifying an existing image?

If yes, are selecting the entire canvas or just a window?

If a window, are you making a square window? (Hold shift as you drag with the marquee tool)

What prompt are you using?

You need to tightly tie down areas you want to stay unchanged, and even then it can ignore you.  If it thinks it does not have the space to fit in what you ask for, it can arbitrarily remove contents to make room, even when your prompt specifically instructed the AI model to leave that area intact.

How many credits do you have each month?  When I have a fairly complex image in my head, I build it one bit at a time, as you keep more control of the process that way.  I consider myself a heavy user, but I don’t even use 4000 credits a month (I have 8000) so I never worry about using them up.  I know some of the regular posters here have 14,000 Gen Creds a month.  I think it would be hard to use that many without doing a lot of video.

So, square selections, and have multiple redundant instructions in your prompt.

BTW Do you use Prompt Vault?  It’s a free plugin from Jesús Rameriz.  It comes with a number of sample prompts.  If you don’t already follow his YouTube channel, I suggest doing so, as he is the AI master with the Photoshop models.  Search his channel for AI and watch the resulting videos.
