Gray screen instead of image showing up in PhotoShop - Program unusable

When I try and open any JPG or PSD files in PhotoShop, I just get a big gray area where the actual image should be. I just exported an entire gallery from CameraRaw (with no issues working on the RAW files) and now I can't open the jpegs (or any other jpegs or PSD files) in PhotoShop. The thumbnails appear in the Layers panel, looking just fine but the entire area where the actual image should be is all gray. (All other panels are in tact.) And before anyone asks, it's not my files - it's most definitely the program.

I tried unchecking GPU compositing in the settings as I saw suggested in another post and it does not help.

**UPDATE: I reverted back to the previous version of PhotoShop and everything works fine. I had only used CameraRaw since the update to 25.4.0. While this is a simple solution, it is EXTREMELY frustrating to constantly have these issues. After not being able to do ANY people masking from April-September and then having to use a workaround to do ANY local adjustments for months, can't we just get a program that works?! These are beyond "bugs"**

In Windows and on 25.11.0 release, Camera Raw updated five days ago and have had the problem since then. Have tried disabling, resetting preferences but no luck, any help much appreciated!!!

I had the same problem. Today, I upgraded to PS v 25.6 and the problem is no longer there. Jeez...

seing something very similar on windows 10, have logged this as a bug with all of the diagnostic and system information - adobe support are unable to fix having tried all of the standard stuff - for me this started after the install of the update before last.

Do you have Magnet installed? I've seen reports that it conflicts.

@EJBermudez it should remain set once you check it and restart PS.

Just want to report I'm having this issue too with all new documents - there is no canvas. I'm on an Apple M1 Max 64GB Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60).

I'm currently rolling back to previous version of Photoshop to do my work.

Disabling Native Canvas worked for me. However... Do I leave it disabled forever?
