I am updating from Ps on a Mac from v.27.7 and at 47% it froze. After several minutes I clicked Cancel and it is still cancelling. I am unable to launch Ps as it gives a corruption popup.

I am trying to update from Ps v.27.7 on a MacBook Air M4 with 24 GB RAM. At 47% it froze.I did a Cancel and it remains in Cancelling status. If I try to launch v.27.7, I get a popup saying it is corrupted.

I used Clean My Mac to uninstall, restarted and installed Ps and I’m fine. Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah, sometimes when updating Photoshop and other Adobe applications from within the Creative Cloud Desktop application, the progress seems to freeze and even a message pops up saying to the effect that updating is taking longer than usual.

If we wait for a while, like, say, 5 or 10 mins, things often clear up and the application(s) complete the update.

The gist of what I’m saying is try restarting your Mac, start the update process again and let it sit for a while if it seems to freeze.
