Issue with ACR 17.0 AI Denoise leaving blocks

I am running ACR 17.0, Bridge 14.1.3, Photoshop 25.12 on an iMac 2020 Intel i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 gig gpu, 96 gigs of Ram on Sonoma 14.7.1. Updating the IOS is not an option as Sequoia does not play well with the Intel chips, I tried that and had to roll back to Sonoma.

 

When I try to use ACR AI Denoise it leaves these blocks pictured below, I have tried both with the GPU turned on and off, it is actually worse with GPU off.

Ah, yes, missed that you're on Mac. Correct, the GPU driver is integrated into the operating system, and an OS update is the only way.

    I might be wrong but I believe there is no way to update just drivers on a Mac, it would require an ios system update and the new ios Sequoia is not compatable unfortunately. Hopefully they add a patch for these Intel machines that are still fairly new so that we can run Sequoia.

    Denoise runs entirely in the GPU, so this is a GPU / driver issue.

     

    I'm not familiar with AMD GPUs, but the first thing is to update the driver. I do see it's a card from 2020, so not too old and it should on the face of it work.
