Issue with the Mixer Brush Tool in Photoshop Beta

Hello!

I tried to stroke the path with the Mixer Brush Tool, but it never worked the way it used to work.

Every time PS applies some random or preset Mixer Brush settings.

I used this method a long time ago pretty often with older versions of PS and it worked fine.  Any Ideas?

Should I install the older version of Photoshop to use this tool with the paths, or am I doing something wrong?
