Issues with Font Pulldown Menus

I'm having issues when I attempt to select or change fonts, using the pulldown menu when Type tool is active, or from the pulldown within the character window. Spinning beachball appears and when I move curser from scroll bar to select fonts, the dialog window closes. Almost impossible to select fonts now.

Just checking to see if this is a Known Issue or unique to some issue on my system. It could be possible that I have too many fonts open, but I haven't added many recently.

I find the same issues when i change fonts in Adobe Photoshop 2024 , the beachball appears very long time.... MacStudio 2022 M1

Ther's a Font troubleshooter that you can work through

If you have a corrupt font or cache, I am not sure whether that stall Photoshop as it opens. You can see the progress in the splash screen as assets are loaded, but with todays uber fast drives, it's all too fast to see. Anyway, check the troubleshooter and come back to us if still stuck. If you find a specific solution, it might help other people going forward if you can let us know in this thread.
