Latest Photoshop neurosis? All options in File menu greyed out...

Since the last update, Photoshop has been going through a consisted bug that drives me insane.
Out of the blue, the OPEN file option ceases to function. In fact, all options in the FILE menu are greyed out except for the OPEN RECENT dropdown menu.
Even if I try to open a file by dragging it to the dock (in Mac) over the PS icon, it will not open.

NOT EVEN THE DAMN QUIT PHOTOSHOP command or option work. I have to force quit the app.
Great right?
You guys up the price to 80€/month and then drop on us this kind of stupid crap.
Below a screenshot of the File menu in all its mangled glory.
I’m in fairly new iMac, up to date OS and up to date app.
With every update, with every pay upgrade, we get more and more flawed and bugged versions.
Enough is enough.
