Oil Paint filter error with latest Photoshop (25.11)

Was working on some images and making cartoon type conversions of pictures and after using the Oil Paint filter once or twice it would no longer let me do it and gave me an error.  Closing the app and reopening did not work, I had to actually reboot.  Thought it was a video driver issue maybe and checked all that, still happening.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, still happened.  Rolled back to 25.7 and it works no problem.  So I feel like it has to be something in 25.11.

@defaulttx8iv6s20vja the oil paint filter is working fine for me, with Photoshop version 25.11 on Windows 10 and 11, what error message are you getting, have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset
